“Top Gun – They Fear Neither Death nor the Devil” is an absolute cult film of the 80s that made Tom Cruise a global star as “Maverick”. The action film shaped an entire generation with its spectacular dogfights, its soundtrack (e.g. “Take My Breath Away” from Berlin) and its distinctive style (aviator goggles, leather jackets). That's what it's about: The top-class fighter pilot Maverick is sent to an elite flight school. There he fights not only to become the best pilot, but also for the attention of his beautiful flight instructor Charlotte Blackwood (Kelly McGillis).
