Ice cream fans, take note!
Aldi Nord is attacking the bestseller among ice cream machines head-on. From March 16th, the discounter will have a machine that looks strikingly similar to the popular “Creami” from Ninja. The price is a real declaration of war and could save the household budgets of many ice cream lovers.
The new machine from Aldi Nord is called “Freez'n'Cream” and costs only 99.99 euros. Visually and technically, the device is very reminiscent of the expensive Ninja machines. The principle is the same: You prepare a mixture, freeze it in a cup for 24 hours and let the machine mill the hard ice cream until it is creamy.
The Ambiano machine is well equipped with 800 watts of power. The scope of delivery includes three dishwasher-safe ice cream cups, each with a capacity of 500 milliliters. Ten programs for ice cream, sorbet or milkshakes are easy to use. There is even a self-cleaning function. On paper, Aldi's value for money easily beats the original.
But the discounter product also has a crucial disadvantage. Since the ice cream mixture has to freeze for 24 hours, you actually need additional cups for everyday use. These can easily be purchased online for the Ninja devices. With the Ambiano machine from Aldi, purchasing individual parts is traditionally rather difficult. But despite this small flaw, the discounter machine is a good alternative to the original. (jve)
