Almost 25 years have passed since the first “Harry Potter” film “Philosopher’s Stone” was released in cinemas. The story of the famous sorcerer's apprentice has brought its inventor Joanne K. Rowling (60) and the actors worldwide fame and a great fortune. Since then, a lot has happened for Daniel Radcliffe (36), Rupert Grint (37), Emma Watson (35) and Co. – and not just visually. In the video you can find out what happened to the “Harry Potter” stars. Their developments could hardly be more different.
The fascination for the “Harry Potter” stars is unbroken
Even if they have long gone their own ways – the fascination for Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Tom Felton remains unbroken. The British achieved their big breakthrough in 2001 with the film adaptation of the “Harry Potter” book series. Overnight, the then unknown students became global idols. “Harry Potter” actor Daniel Radcliffe today: girlfriend, children, roles
Daniel Radcliffe took the audience's hearts by storm as a sweet magic student with round wire-rimmed glasses and a lightning scar on his forehead. Today the Briton has managed to step out of the shadow of the world's most famous magician. The 36-year-old is still a gifted actor, although more on stage than in front of the camera. Instead of blockbusters, he has been focusing on courageous roles for years – whether as a bizarre corpse in “Swiss Army Man” or as an eccentric musician in “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story”. Radcliffe won his first Tony Award in 2024 for his role in the Broadway musical “Merrily We Roll Along”. The actor has retained his youthful appearance to this day – despite the full beard that he now sports.

Rupert Grint enjoys his family happiness
Rupert Grint, our eternal Ron Weasley (Harry Potter's best friend), now lives a surprisingly withdrawn life. While he repeatedly emphasizes in interviews that the gigantic fame was sometimes too much for him, he has nevertheless built a remarkable career: successful series roles such as in “Servant” or “Snatch” show that he can also shine outside of Hogwarts. However, there have been no major successes after the “Harry Potter” era.

In his private life, Rupert enjoys his family life with his partner Georgia Groome (33) and their daughters (*2020) and Goldie (*2025).– and surprises fans here and there with little social media appearances that immediately go viral. The red Weasley hair is still his trademark to this day.

Tom Felton: Today he is an actor and singer-songwriter
Tom Felton also had his breakthrough with “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”. As Draco Malfoy, he was known not only for his mean nature but also for his peroxide blonde hair and became Harry's antagonist in Slytherin House. Today Tom is a little less blonde – and he shows a whole new side. On his social media accounts, the 38-year-old presents himself as a humorous, approachable star.

Tom is still active as an actor – for example in series like “The Flash” or in theater and film projects. Particularly emotional: His commitment to the “Harry Potter” fans, to whom he lovingly shows again and again that privately he has absolutely nothing in common with the mean Slytherin student. In addition to acting, Tom discovered his passion for music. He performs as a singer-songwriter and released his first album in 2009. His song “If You Could Be Anywhere” even made it onto the soundtrack to the movie “Turkish for Beginners”.
