An accident with three injuries occurred on the B27 near Fulda. According to the police, the person responsible left the scene without permission.

Eichenzell – A traffic accident involving four vehicles occurred on the B27 between the Bronnzeller roundabout and the exit to Löschenrod on Friday around 1:15 p.m. Due to the rescue work, the road in the direction of Rothemann was temporarily closed. The closure has been lifted since the afternoon, as the police reported when asked.

According to officials, three people were injured in the accident. Further information on the type and extent of the injuries is currently not available.

The accident occurred on the federal highway coming from Fulda in the direction of Löschenrod, about 500 meters before the Löschenrod exit. According to initial information from the police, traffic had previously backed up at this point.

A vehicle swerved from the right to the left lane in order to overtake. The driver apparently overlooked a box truck. The driver was no longer able to brake in time and swerved into the right lane, where he collided with two other vehicles. The van and the two cars were badly damaged and had to be towed away.

According to the police, the unknown driver who caused the accident by swerving left the scene of the accident without permission. The police are now looking for him. Two ambulances and the fire department were on duty.

There was also a hit-and-run accident in Hofbieber recently. A pickup truck driver lost a bucket of mortar Wednesday that damaged another car. The unknown perpetrator drove away.
