This is what awaits you Day 2 des Hesse day
First report from June 13th, 6:22 a.m.: Day 2 on the Hesse day in Fulda. From today on, our editorial team will give you a Hessentag tip every morning away from the big stages. Editorial member Victoria Brähler recommends a visit to the breakdancers on Saturday (June 13th) who will be showing off their skills at the state festival.

As part of hip-hop culture, breaking originates from the streets of New York in the 1970s, where it was danced primarily by African-American youth as a creative alternative to widespread street crime. At least since the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, where breaking was represented as a discipline for the first time, dance has received additional attention worldwide.
At the Hessentag, visitors can experience the mixture of creativity and athleticism for themselves: On Saturday, June 13th, some of the strongest dancers (“B-Girls”) and dancers (“B-Boys”) in Germany will compete against each other in direct dance duels.

The “Breaking Battles” can be seen from 1 p.m. on the Lotto Hessen stage at Johannisstrasse 44 (near the environmental center). As part of the varied program at the Hessentag, they are not only an offer for a younger audience, but also a tip for everyone who is open to new things and is interested in the diversity of dance and youth culture.
The first concert highlight is on the program in the evening: Pop legend Roland Kaiser will be in the Domplatz Arena from 8 p.m on stage. The Hermes House Band will provide a party atmosphere at the hr-Treff am Rosengarten from 8 p.m. Entry here is free.
