
A roof structure burned in Fulda-Horas on Wednesday. The fire department quickly brought the flames under control and prevented it from spreading.
Fulda – The Fulda fire department responded to a roof structure fire on Schlitzer Strasse in Horas on Wednesday. The control center reported the fire at around 4:15 p.m.
According to operations manager Alexander Böhm, the emergency services were alerted to a fire in the roof structure area. When the fire brigade arrived, smoke and flames were already visible in the area of a dormer at a construction site.

The fire brigade then began fighting the fire simultaneously using a turntable ladder from the outside and with a team inside the building. According to Böhm, the fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished.
The emergency services then opened parts of the roof to look for possible embers and prevent a new flare-up.
A total of around 25 firefighters and two ambulances were on site. Nobody was injured.
The fire brigade was already called upon on the A7 near Bad Hersfeld on Wednesday night. Here a truck was engulfed in flames.
