On Friday evening (June 5th), a 77-year-old woman died in a single-family home in Ratingen from “massive violence”. Her daughter alerted the police. Now the 42-year-old is to be brought before a judge. A murder squad is investigating.

Husband (80) also arrested

When the police arrived at the scene, they found not only the daughter (42) but also the husband (80) of the person killed, according to a statement. Both are arrested as suspects. While “the suspicion against the husband of the man who was killed has not yet been substantiated,” the daughter is scheduled to be brought before a judge on Saturday “on the orders of the Düsseldorf public prosecutor’s office.”

Investigators assume that the crime was committed in a family environment

What exactly happened in the single-family home in Ratingen on Friday evening and why the 77-year-old elderly woman had to die is currently being investigated. “The murder weapon has not yet been found”the message continues.

It is assumed that the woman was “killed by massive violence”. There is also talk of “an act in the family environment”.
