When the search for a boy (3) who ran away from home is unsuccessful, the father calls the police – and then there is a knock from a juice barrel.
Climbed a ladder into a 5,000 liter barrel
A three-year-old fell into an empty 5,000 liter juice barrel in a drinks market in Baden-Württemberg. The little boy ran away from home on Friday afternoon (June 5), the police said. When the parents' search in Metzingen (Reutlingen district) was unsuccessful, the father reported to the police.
Officers and police dogs combed the area. Knocking noises from the child then led to a happy outcome: residents heard them coming from a juice barrel in a nearby drinks market. The curious boy had apparently climbed a ladder into the large, fortunately empty container, as it was said. He was stuck there for the time being.
After the boy was found, he was handed over to his parents unharmed. (dpa/vho)
