The large Pfordter Lake is currently brownish in color. Whether this has an impact on water quality is still being examined. The swimming season is scheduled to start on June 22nd.
Pfordt – While the large lake resembles a brown soup, the small Pfordt lake has a normal appearance. The Schlitz city administration has already been made aware of the water discoloration, reports Mayor Heiko Siemon.
Pfordter See resembles a brown soup – the cause is unclear
The town hall boss explains: “The Swimming season at Pfordter See officially begins on June 22nd. As every year, we commissioned an institute to take the relevant water samples. Experience has shown that these results are only available shortly before the start of the season. Therefore, we cannot currently make any statements about water quality.”
The coloring is probably due to the weather. Nothing is currently being done about it, as the official starting signal will only be given at the beginning of the swimming season in Pfordt.
