The Rhön-Park-Hotel is planning to expand its offering to include the bungalow village RhönVillage with 46 chalets and thus want to strengthen its position in the upscale tourist segment.
Rhön – The building applications for the million-dollar project are to be submitted this month; construction is scheduled to begin in late autumn after the end of the main holiday season, as the resort in the Bavarian Rhön announced.

The planning for the RhönVillage has been going on for several years and all major contracts have now been signed. The team led by director Ben Baars is working together with architects, banks and marketing to quickly implement the finished plans, according to a statement.
“The construction of the RhönVillage with around 46 chalets supports the development of the Rhön Park Active Resort,” explains Ben Baars. The expansion is intended to increase the popularity of the Rhön and create added tourist value for the region.
With the new bungalow village, the number of beds in the resort increases by 362 to a total of 1,562 beds. The target groups are holiday guests and business customers seeking relaxation who benefit from the central location in Germany, the panoramic view of the Rhön Biosphere Reserve and the leisure and conference infrastructure of the Rhön Park Active Resort.
The approximately 126 square meter chalets can accommodate up to six people and are equipped with a living area, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open kitchen and their own terrace, some with a sauna and whirlpool. “It is very important that guests at RhönVillage enjoy absolute privacy,” emphasizes Baars.
The chalets are built by RhönVillage GmbH & Co.KG and are rented through the existing network of the Rhön-Park-Aktiv-Resort. The expansion will secure the current 143 jobs, including 15 training positions, and strengthen the regional economy, as the construction will be carried out sustainably by companies from the region wherever possible.
