
Two unknown people found a car key in Hanau and quickly confiscated the BMW that belonged to it. They parked the vehicle around 1.5 kilometers from the original location.
Hanau – In Hanau, two unknown men stole a BMW on Friday night (April 15th) and searched it for valuables. The police are now asking the public for help in finding the perpetrators.
According to investigators, the vehicle owner parked his gray BMW with an OF license plate on Dartforder Strasse on Thursday evening (April 14th). He probably lost his car key unnoticed. When he tried to return to his car on Friday morning, it was missing.
Two men find keys and drive a strange BMW
The two unknown people had in the meantime found the key and used the vehicle without authorization. They parked the BMW at August-Schärttner-Straße 17 around 1.5 kilometers from the original location. There they searched the vehicle for valuables before fleeing north on foot. According to the current state of the investigation, they took the vehicle key with them.
One of the perpetrators is said to be in his early 20s and have black hair. He was wearing a black winter jacket with fur trim on the hood, gray sweatpants, white socks and black and white Nike flip flops. His companion was dressed in a light gray jogging suit and had pulled the hood low over his face.
Witnesses who observed suspicious people in the area of Dartforder Strasse or in the area of August-Schärttner-Strasse on Friday night are asked to contact the criminal police in Hanau on (06181) 100123.
Just recently was also stolen in Flieden. The police are looking for witnesses to the theft and warn of Keyless Go vulnerabilities.
