This was confirmed when the first emergency services arrived. A pile of brushwood burned over an area of about 150 square meters. “Two crews were able to quickly contain the fire with two pipes before the fire was finally extinguished with a water cannon,” reported a fire department spokesman.
Luckily no one was injured. The fire department set up a shuttle service and transported water to the scene in a 10,000 liter roll-off container. A farmer supported the extinguishing work. After around two and a half hours, the fire department ended the operation at around 8:15 p.m.

“A noticeable smell of fire in the area in question is likely to be noticeable for some time,” said the fire department in Langenselbold. Firefighters were on site with six vehicles and 20 personnel to extinguish the fire. The Langenselbold police are investigating the cause of the fire.
