Jonas Dzinic, Paul Tulke and Jonas Strube will never forget this day: the East Hesse footballers celebrated Schalke 04's promotion side by side with the professionals.
Gelsenkirchen/Eiterfeld – It sounds almost surreal, but pictures and videos document an unforgettable night that the trio will probably remember forever. They not only experienced the Royal Blues' return to the Bundesliga in the stands, but also celebrated afterwards in the catacombs of the arena together with players, the board and celebrities.
Crazy night at Schalke: Fan trio sneaks into the promotion party
One by one: All three are ardent Schalke fans and play together for the northern district league team SG Dittlofrod/Körnbach, reports torgranate.de. A few weeks ago, club member and referee Matthias Weber approached them: He was able to provide VIP tickets for the decisive game. He was gratefully given this and wanted to share it with some Schalke supporters. Dzinic and Co. fervently hoped that Schalke would secure promotion against Fortuna.

And that's exactly how it happened. Captain Kenan Karaman shot S04 back into the upper house with the golden goal. At that point, no one in the East Hesse entourage had any idea what would happen an hour after the final whistle. Then they spotted Nikola Katic from the promotion team, ran after him and suddenly found themselves through a kitchen in the middle of the party area, where the players and the board were hanging out. They celebrated with their heroes until the early hours of the morning. It wasn't until half past four that they left the stadium with Katic and the self-proclaimed party king Timo Becker.
In the meantime they even took a detour into the cabin and onto the lawn. The party atmosphere helped them when they visited the dressing room: the Schalke player who accompanied them stated in short that “they are friends of mine” and thus saved them from the security staff. The Bild newspaper even reported on the trio’s “mini-platzstorm”.

“They can celebrate quite well,” said 21-year-old Dzinic in an interview three days later, still visibly impressed. He doesn't want to go into too much detail about the professionals' party habits, but he reveals with a wink: “A few players have really taken a beating.” Dzinic was already sure on the way there that “it could be the most beautiful day of my life.” But what happened between 11:30 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. exceeded expectations many times over. There are videos of them dancing, drinking and singing with players. Selfies with Edin Džeko, photos with Loris Karius. Memories of a once-in-a-lifetime moment. Weber and the rest of the tour group had already been at the hotel for a long time and were happy the next day with the trio, who are particularly grateful to the card organizer.
But now the Dittlofroder team want to concentrate on the final spurt in the district league. They would love to celebrate the championship themselves in a few weeks – and would certainly not mind if the Schalke professionals came to their party area for revenge. Meanwhile, Dittlofrod is celebrating an anniversary this year.
