Pop star Bernhard Brink is currently causing speculation: In a letter to close companions, the entertainer thanks him for “over five decades” in the music business and announces a special press event 13 days (!) in advance. Words like “Thank you for your time!” Make fans sit up and take notice – is your career coming to an end?
A farewell would have weight: in 2027 Brink would have an incredible 55 years in show business. He released his first record in the early 1970s and shortly afterwards celebrated his breakthrough with an appearance on the ZDF hit parade – the start of an extraordinary career. With hits like “Liebe auf Zeit”, “Blondes Wunder” and “From here to infinity” he has shaped the German hit scene like few others. Over 50 albums, more than 100 singles and countless TV and radio appearances make him a fixture in the genre to this day.

But when asked, the all-clear was given: There are apparently no plans to end his career. When asked whether 2027 would be his last tour, management said clearly: “No.” And the PR boss also makes it clear in principle: “At this point in time: No!”
So what's behind the emotional words? There is much to suggest that Brink is simply preparing for his big anniversary. 2027 marks a milestone in his career. However, industry insiders reveal to RTL.de that it is supposed to be a farewell tour.
