Roman Kubla from the board of Sparkasse Oberhessen is retiring
Roman Kubla was born in Gießen in 1961 and grew up in Weckesheim. At the age of 16, in 1977, he began his training as a banker at what was then Kreissparkasse Friedberg. From advising private customers, his time as a credit advisor in the Bad Vilbel savings bank management, to the development of the corporate customer business, to his many years of work on the board, of which he has been a member since 2015 – Kubla has helped shape Sparkasse Oberhessen from the ground up. In recent years, as Head of Sales, he has strategically developed and realigned the private customer business.
Two major mergers were particularly formative in his time: first the merger to form Sparkasse Wetterau and later the merger to form today's Sparkasse Oberhessen in 2006. The qualified savings bank business economist made his mark in the corporate customer business: in 1996 he took over management and systematically built up this area.
With his retirement, Roman Kubla is now focusing primarily on his personal life and on the near future while remaining true to his homeland: He lives with his wife in Weckesheim and is looking forward to having a lot more time for his family. He exchanges his company car for an iconic Fiat 500 C – the first trip is already planned.
