Hünfeld's emergency services will transform the city center into an adventure mile on May 30th. Admission to the day of action is free.
Hünfeld – Under the motto “Experience Hünfeld emergency services up close,” the local blue light family is once again giving insights into their everyday lives this year. From the rescue service and fire brigade to the police and federal police through to THW, DLRG and the judiciary, all organizations around the town hall present themselves.
Hünfeld is organizing the “Blue Light Day” for the second time
The program runs on Saturday (May 30th) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and starts with a church service. This is followed by demonstrations such as operational training for the fire department, police work with dogs and a resuscitation challenge by the DRK. There is a lot on offer, especially for children: with a “stamp running pass” they can explore the stands and take part in a large raffle. In the “Action Room” they can become active themselves and experience the work of the emergency services up close.
In addition to entertainment, the event provides important impulses: a DKMS typing campaign takes place in the “Konrads City Kids” facility, and The photo club shows pictures from the “respect campaign” from last year.
Mayor Benjamin Tschesnok expects a full city center: “With the many great activities that the blue light family has come up with, there is something for everyone! Whether with friends or the whole family – the day of the blue light is a win for everyone!” The event also recognizes voluntary commitment. The event is complemented by extended retail opening hours and a variety of culinary offerings. Entry is free.
