He keeps his fingers crossed for his friend GZSZ lucky charm on “Let’s Dance”! Jan Kittmann and Lars Pape are more than just colleagues
There's nothing like a great colleague!
What a special evening for “Let's Dance” candidate Jan Kittmann: Not only did he crack the magical 30-point mark for the first time – the support of a very special colleague also gives goosebumps. GZSZ star Lars Pape sits in the audience and keeps his fingers crossed. And with great success. What the two men have in common beyond the GZSZ cameras and what Lars Pape's dancing talent actually is can be seen in the video.
Lars Pape would also come to the “Let’s Dance” studio every week
The joy is Jan Kittmann after his performance, he was able to score 30 points for the first time in the Viennese Waltz – and he attributes part of his success directly to his prominent supporter. “I would say it brought me luck. I can't complain,” he says with a laugh after the show.

So does Lars Pape have to sit in the studio every time? No problem for the GZSZ star: “If that’s what you want, I’ll come here every week.” A promise that Jan is only too happy to accept – after all, a few more shows could follow until the end of May.

The GZSZ colleagues are watching their Jan very closely
The evening is also something very special for Lars Pape himself. Seeing his colleagues live on the dance floor visibly excites him: “It’s just really great to be able to be here today and see Jan dancing.” What impresses him most is how much Jan is enjoying the moment. “You could really tell he was having so much fun doing this dance,” Pape said. The fact that the full 30 points are awarded at the end is “deserved like nothing else”.
And it's not just in the studio that Jan's dance performance is a topic of conversation: “Let's Dance” is also a constant topic on the GZSZ set in Berlin. “We talk about it a lot – how he danced and also about the jury’s ratings.”reveals Pape. There is even a lot of analysis going on at home, as his wife follows the show closely.
So could Lars Pape himself soon be seen on the “Let’s Dance” stage? For Jan Kittmann the answer is clear: “Yes, absolutely.” And even if Lars himself is still hesitant, his colleague is convinced: There is definitely more dancing talent there than he admits. At the moment, Lars is keeping his fingers crossed for his colleague Jan. Hopefully there will be many more “Let’s Dance” shows to come.
