Unknown people dismantled and stole a heavy hydraulic hammer from a mini excavator in Schlüchtern. The police are looking for witnesses.
Schlüchtern – Unknown perpetrators stole a hydraulic hammer from a site on Kirchstrasse in Schlüchtern between Tuesday (April 28th) at 6 p.m. and Wednesday morning (April 29th) at 7:30 a.m. The stolen device was an attachment kit for the crane arm of a mini shovel excavator.
Thieves steal hydraulic hammers from mini excavators in Schlüchtern
According to investigators' findings so far, the perpetrators first lifted the mini excavator with the appropriate tools in order to dismantle the heavy hydraulic hammer. They then transported the device away from the construction site.
Witnesses who observed suspicious people or vehicles in the Kirchstrasse area on the night in question are asked to contact the Schlüchtern police station on (06661) 96100.
This theft is not an isolated incident in the region: only recently Unknown people stole machines and tools from a construction site in Fulda.
