The Rettmobil attracts thousands to Fulda. But trade fair operations also bring closures and diversions, the first nine days before the start of the trade fair.
Fulda – From May 6th to 8th, Fulda will once again be under the sign of blue lights, as the 24th Rettmobil will take place on the exhibition grounds. During the three-day trade fair, to which a total of 32,910 visitors came in 2025, there will be some closures, the city of Fulda informed, some of them well before the start of the trade fair.
At the exhibition center in Fulda-Galerie, Ernst-Barlach-Straße in the direction of Paul-Klee-Straße from Tuesday afternoon (May 5th) and Wolf-Hirth-Straße between the roundabout and Emil-Nolde-Allee in the direction of Sickels will be designated as one-way streets from Wednesday morning (May 6th) at 7 a.m. until Friday (May 8th).
Closures nine days before the start of Rettmobil in Fulda
From Monday (April 27th), Käthe-Kollwitz-Straße between Paul-Klee-Straße and Max-Liebermann-Straße will be completely closed. This can be used again from Wednesday (May 13th). Coming from the direction of Sickels, the signposted access to the exhibition center is via the Sickelser Straße/Im Strickefeld route (connecting road to the exhibition center).
Road users in the direction of Fulda-Haimbach or in the direction of Fulda-Sickels are recommended to use the Westring as a bypass, as traffic disruptions must be expected on the three Rettmobil trade fair days around the trade fair grounds in Fulda-Galerie, the city of Fulda also announced.
City bus routes 5 and 15 will be rerouted from Monday (April 27) to Wednesday (May 13). Line 5 (Künzell-Stadtschloss-Galerie–Giesel) runs between the stops Jackson-Pollock-Platz and Käthe-Kollwitz-Straße via Max-Liebermann-Straße, where a replacement stop will be set up.
The “Werner-Schmid-Straße” and “Westfriedhof” stops are no longer available. Line 15 (Stadtschloss-Haderwald-Galerie) runs between the stops Werner-Schmid-Straße and Käthe-Kollwitz-Straße via Max-Liebermann-Straße and also stops at the replacement stop there. The Westfriedhof stop is no longer available.
