On April 20, 2021, Willi Herren was found lifeless in his Cologne apartment. The entertainer was only 45 years old. On the fifth anniversary of his death, daughter Alessia (24) posted an emotional message on Instagram in honor of her late father. “5 years ago today on April 20th, 2021 the news came that your dad is no longer there,” wrote Alessia Herren.
This news “tore her heart” and the world collapsed for her. “I miss you so much. I still can't believe that you're no longer with us. You wanted to show me so much of the world,” wrote Alessia Herren, who followed in her father's footsteps as a reality TV actress.

“Dad, I would have loved to hug you tightly again. How could you leave us so early, Dad?” Alessia Herren continued. Now she can no longer call him, her father can no longer solve her problems. “Who will now hold me as tightly and lovingly as you did?“she asks.
“You were always my hero. You did everything for me. You always defended me like a lion from everyone! Dad, the two of us were and have always been inseparable,” wrote the young mother, who is currently pregnant for the second time. And promised: She will carry on his name “with honor” and “full of pride.”
“You are my blood, my heart, MY LIFE,” Alessia Herren concludes her text. “Day and night I only think about you! Because I need you, need you so much.” In addition to the text, Alessia Herren has put together a collage of images and videos. In a story, Alessia posted more pictures in honor of Willi Herren. “Your last breath was my first step into life without you,” wrote Alessia Herren on a photo that shows her as a little girl. Her father gives her a kiss on the cheek in the snapshot.
“Forever. Missed and never forgotten,” she wrote over a short clip in which father and daughter hug in greeting. The video was taken a few days before the death of the former “Lindenstrasse” star, at the opening of his potato pancake food truck. “Love of my life” is also written above a black and white photo of Willi Herren.

Alessia Herren followed her father to the jungle camp in 2025
Willi Herren had two children with his long-time girlfriend Mirella Fazzi, who was of Italian origin. Alessia's son Stefano was born in 1994. After his career as an actor, Willi Herren turned to reality television in 2004 with his appearance in the jungle camp.
Alessia Herren followed her father in 2025 by taking part in “I'm a Star – Get Me Out of Here!” The mother of two even ended up in third place.
