Reiner Calmund goes on stage again at the age of 77!
During RTL's visit to the legendary Volkstheater am Rudolfplatz (Millowitsch sends his regards!), Calmund shows from the first minute what has distinguished him for decades: pointed sayings that come “as if shot from a pistol”, a wealth of anecdotes from the football business as well as personal insights that the audience would not have expected.
He had already hinted in advance that he had been told not to go on tour again at the age of 77. Calmund says exclusively to RTL: “Of course some people think that, but I'll show them. And what's more, I've never had so much vacation. With 34 shows in two months, I have 27 days off. I've never had so much vacation in my professional life. That makes me happy and I'm really having fun!”

Because while “his” Bayer 04 Leverkusen is currently struggling with a few opponents, he has defeated his biggest opponent. Even after the show, Calmund was still involved in many conversations with fans and he didn't run out of steam yet. “I don't care about my age. I'm doing the tour, it just gives me great joy and at the same time I like to appear on TV again, keep up with the Bundesliga business and that way I'm still fit in the head. I'm crazy about football and so everyone should look for something that's good for them as they get older. Everyone has to decide for themselves. I'm grateful for my 77!”
