
A 12-year-old boy from Fulda was injured in a collision with a stationary car in Petersberg.
Petersberg – According to the police's initial findings, a 32-year-old Mercedes driver from Petersberg was driving on Bertholdstrasse and stopped at the junction with Rabanus-Maurus-Strasse due to traffic. At the same time, the 12-year-old was driving his Pedelec illegally on the sidewalk on Rabanus-Maurus-Strasse – against the prescribed direction of travel towards Bertholdstrasse.

Although his view was limited by parked vehicles, the boy drove off the sidewalk onto the road to turn onto Bertholdstrasse. He collided with the Mercedes that was parked there. The 12-year-old fell and was injured. He was taken to hospital for further evaluation of his injuries. The accident occurred on Friday morning (March 27) around 8:30 a.m., the police announced over the weekend.
According to police reports, there was damage to the Pedelec and the Mercedes amounting to at least 2,100 euros.
