A van and a car collided on the B279 near Gersfeld on Sunday evening. For reasons that are still unclear, the van crossed into oncoming traffic. The federal highway is currently completely closed.
Gersfeld – The emergency services were alerted to the B279 near Gersfeld on Sunday evening (March 22nd) with the keywords “trapped/buried person”. As the police reported when asked, a van was traveling from Schwedenschanze towards Gersfeld when, for reasons that are still unclear, it ran into oncoming traffic. There the van collided with an oncoming car.
Serious accident in the Rhön: small van collides with a car
According to police, the two occupants of the van suffered “minor injuries” and were taken to hospital. The driver of the car was initially locked in her car. She suffered serious injuries in the accident. The B279 between Rodenbach and Gersfeld is currently completely closed (as of 8:30 p.m.).
The day before, a child was seriously injured in an accident in Fulda. A 75-year-old VW driver hit the five-year-old boy with his outside mirror.
