Serious accident in Steinau: A driver crashed her VW Golf into a property wall and had to be flown to a clinic in a rescue helicopter.
Steinau an der Straße – A 50-year-old driver from the Main-Kinzig district was seriously injured in an accident on Ohlstrasse in Steinau on Thursday morning (March 19th), the police said. A rescue helicopter flew the woman to a hospital.

The accident occurred early in the morning around 5:40 a.m. The woman was driving her blue VW Golf from Nordstrasse towards Vogelsbergstrasse. For unknown reasons, her car left the road. The small car crashed into a property wall. The force of the impact threw the vehicle back onto the road.
The car had to be towed after the accident. The police cannot initially provide any information about the amount of property damage caused. The Schlüchtern police station is now looking for witnesses who observed the accident. Tips can be received by calling (06661) 96100.
