
An accident on the L3140 road near Schlitz in the Vogelsberg district caused a large-scale operation. The driver was trapped in his car but not trapped.
Schlitz – A traffic accident occurred on Friday afternoon (March 6th) on the L3140 country road between Schlitz and Schlitz-Willofs in the Vogelsberg district. A 35-year-old man drove his car off the road to the left for reasons that are still unclear and drove through the ditch. The car ran over a traffic sign and hit a tree.
Serious accident at Schlitz: Fire brigade uses heavy equipment
The car came to a stop in a meadow. “We were called to a solo accident and found a person who was locked in the car, not trapped. The person was responsive. We freed him from the car with heavy equipment and handed him over to the emergency services,” explained Andreas Leinweber, deputy Schlitz city fire inspector.
The 35-year-old was injured and taken to hospital. The police estimate the total damage to property at around 15,000 euros. There were 27 emergency services on site, the emergency services, a patrol from the Hünfeld police station and the Christoph 28 rescue helicopter, which, however, only brought the emergency doctor to the scene of the accident.
A little later, a 15-year-old Simson driver was injured in an accident in Neuhof. A BMW and a moped collided at an intersection in the community in the Fulda district. The injured teenager was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
