
Police arrested a man in Bruchköbel. The suspicion: property damage. There was damage amounting to several thousand euros. Witnesses are urgently sought.
Bruchköbel – On Thursday morning (March 5th), police officers in Bruchköbel temporarily arrested a man. The South East Hesse Police Headquarters in Offenbach announced that the 50-year-old from the Main-Kinzig district is now being investigated on suspicion of damaging property.
The operation was triggered by several emergency calls shortly after 7:30 a.m. Witnesses reported that a man damaged three parked cars in the curve area of August-Bebel-Straße in Bruchköbel. The officers who were called found the suspect a short time later near a supermarket on an adjacent street.

The police temporarily arrested the suspect. Initial interviews revealed that the man may have damaged several decorative items in his home. The total damage is currently estimated by the police at several thousand euros.
“The background to the crimes is largely unclear and is the subject of ongoing investigations,” reported police spokesman Thomas Leipold. The police are asking for further information from witnesses in this context. Two previously unknown women who are said to have observed the incident with the vehicles are particularly wanted.
According to police, these women could serve as important witnesses. One of them is said to have walked past at the time of the crime and filmed the event with her cell phone. The other could be a local resident. The two women and other witnesses are asked to contact the police in Langenselbold on (06183) 911550.
The police are also looking for important witnesses in another case in the Main-Kinzig district. A police officer used his service weapon during a check in Steinau. According to authorities, a driver drove toward the officer. Residents reported a total of three shots.
