Sworn in on March 5th Police Chief Julian Neumann the young officers in the department on Molzbacher Berg. As the Hünfeld Federal Police Department reports, the new colleagues have been part of the Hünfeld unit since March 2nd. They had previously completed their training at the federal police training and advanced training centers in Bamberg, Oerlenbach, Eschwege, Swisttal and Rotenburg an der Fulda.

Following the swearing-in, they will begin a six-week introductory training course before being distributed to their future units. According to the Federal Police, this also includes the long-awaited one third operational hundred, which is expected to be officially put into service this year.

Neumann deliberately gave the Friedländer quote to those sworn in. The saying “Be human beings!” should remind the new colleagues “that with their oath they stand as a guarantor for the free-democratic basic order and thus for the protection and realization of all fundamental rights.”

A soloist from the Hanover Federal Police Orchestra provided the celebratory setting. Saxophonist Dirk Hillebold not only played the German national anthem, but also “Cheers to Us” by Andreas Bourani.
