Just went well!
Three women were surrounded by the North Sea on a sandbank off St. Peter-Ording and were already up to their stomachs in water – then a helicopter rescued them. Everyone remained uninjured, as the spokeswoman for the German Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecked People (DGzRS), Antke Reemts, told the German Press Agency. The NDR had previously reported.
The women could have died in the North Sea
The women called attention to their desperate situation by shouting and waving. The alerted rescuers in the helicopter pulled the women up with a winch and deposited them on the bank. According to Reemts, the rescue cruiser “Theodor Storm” and another lifeboat were also sent to the emergency in North Frisia.
