She drank so she wouldn't have to think Carmen turned to alcohol after the attack on the Geissens villa
This night left its mark!
In June 2025, four perpetrators gained access to the Geissens' villa. Almost a year later, the traumatic experience still concerns Robert and Carmen. “Sometimes I still dream about it, then I wake up bathed in sweat,” explains Carmen Geiss in an RTL interview. “But well, sometimes I try to drink so much that I don’t have to think about it,” she admits.
To this day, the Geissens still wake up in the evenings
On the way to the “Exclusiv Spezial” at the weekend in Monaco, RTL presenter Frauke Ludowig stopped in Saint-Tropez to talk to the Geissens again about the attack. The couple was forced at gunpoint to open their safe. Carmen is even injured in the attack.

“That really did something to us,” confirms entrepreneur Robert Geiss. “Watching TV makes you wake up at least ten times in the evening,” he reports. He then kept looking at the door and had the feeling that someone could come in.
Carmen Geiss began drinking after the attack
Carmen also feels the consequences of the brutal attack to this day. To get the fear and images from the night out of her head, she resorted to alcohol, she admits in an interview with Frauke Ludowig. She did this “for a while”. “When you've experienced something like that, it's something you don't easily forget. I haven't been able to sleep at night since then, even with pills,” reports Carmen.

You can see Carmen's alcohol confession and anyone who noticed that something was wrong with her on “Exclusive” this weekend. “RTL Exclusiv” broadcasts from Monaco on Saturday and Sunday at 5:45 p.m.
