
In an accident on the A5 in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district, a timber truck overturned and lost its entire load. Two people were injured.
Breitenbach – According to information from the control center, the accident happened around 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning (June 3rd) shortly behind the Rimberg rest area in the direction of Frankfurt. According to initial information from the police, a car and the timber truck collided on the A5 between Alsfeld and the Hattenbacher triangle.

The timber truck then tipped over on its side and lost almost its entire load, consisting of numerous long wooden boards. According to initial information, two people were injured in the accident, but there is no information yet as to how seriously.
The A5 was initially completely closed for two hours in the direction of Frankfurt, but according to information from the accident site, the left lane was opened around midday. The highway would have to be closed again in the afternoon so that the two vehicles and the truck load could be recovered. Diversion routes will be signposted accordingly.

Also on Wednesday morning An accident occurred on the Steinauer A66 driveway in the direction of Fulda. An Audi driver was slightly injured here.
