
Five young people are said to have beaten up a 70-year-old at Bad Soden-Salmünster train station late on Tuesday evening. The police are investigating dangerous bodily harm.
Bad Soden-Salmünster – According to the police report, a witness called the emergency number around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening (June 2nd) because she had discovered an injured man lying on the ground on platform 1 of the Salmünster train station. Paramedics treated the man for multiple lacerations and then took him to the hospital.
According to the victim and the observations of a witness, the following incident is said to have taken place: The 70-year-old man was traveling on the regional express from the direction of Fulda. On the train he met five young people with whom he spoke briefly.

When the senior got off the train in Bad Soden-Salmünster, the group is said to have followed him and beat and kicked him in the waiting area of the station. The five young people, who are described as wearing dark clothes and having dark skin, then ran away towards Spessartstrasse.
The 70-year-old is said to have been briefly unconscious from the punches and kicks. Glass fragments were also found on his clothing. However, the man cannot remember whether he was hit with a bottle.
