Even the judges were stunned.
A verdict has been reached in the civil proceedings surrounding the killing in the Luise case. According to RTL information, the defendants have to pay 144,000 euros. The girls who killed Luise must pay compensation and compensate for any material damage that Luise's family suffered, for example from the funeral.
“It is a murder that has stunned the chamber,” said the judge in charge when he handed down the verdict on Thursday (May 28). There is a total of 144,000 euros for Luise's death. The three family members each receive 30,000 euros (for the parents) and 25,000 euros (for the sister). Luise's death is valued at 40,000 euros, plus funeral and legal costs. In total, the perpetrators should – and must – pay 144,000 euros.
In the reasons for the verdict, the judge stated that Luise experienced endless suffering before her death. At first she was still able to defend herself. But then a minute-long death struggle follows. In a press release, the responsible regional court in Koblenz announced that “Luise experienced considerable suffering before her death and had to suffer extreme panic and fear of death.” The girl was killed with a total of 74 stab wounds.
More than three years have passed since the twelve year old Luise from Freudenberg was killed in Siegerland by two girls who were also underage (then 12 and 13). The two perpetrators, who were underage, admitted to brutally stabbing their classmate in a forest on March 11, 2023.
Luise's family takes the case to civil court and fights for compensation. For yourself and last but not least for Luise. It will never bring them back, but they want a drop of justice in a sea of tears. The loss of her child still weighs heavily. According to the judge, the parents and sister should still be receiving psychotherapeutic treatment.
