Jottum was a loyal companion for Marijke Amado (72) for 16 years. But as the Dutch presenter announces, her beloved dog has died.

On Instagram there Marijke Amado the sad news announced. Today, April 24th, her four-legged friend went over the rainbow. “You were the best and loveliest dog, so great,” she says goodbye with a photo of the Havanese.
“I will miss you so much, my dearest, sweet and great Jottum. You were by my side for 16 years and what we have experienced,” Marijke continues. And Jottum may actually be known to one or the other. Because in 2013, the furry friend and her famous owner took part in the first season of “Celebrity Big Brother”: “Have a good trip, my darling. I will miss you so much and so will Basil.” Basil is the former “Mini Playback Show” host’s second dog, who has lived with her since 2024.

Celebrity followers and fans are there for Marijke Amado
“Marijke, your message this morning made me so sad (…) because I know how much it hurts you,” commented Janine Kunze on the post. “Oh no, dear Marijeke, I'm so sorry, they're always family members and you've posted it so often. Feel really hugged,” writes the jungle camp candidate Nicole Belstler-Boettcher.
Ruth Moschner meanwhile writes: “My deepest condolences! He is now safely in heaven with Kai-Uwe Steves at the dog park.” By this the presenter means Detlef Steves' dog, who also died a few days ago. (dga)
