He affectionately calls his new love Angel all the time. The 54-year-old, who comes from North Rhine-Westphalia, works professionally as a designer and creates angel wings. “We are in love, like two young teenagers,” enthuses Bert. Your love is very fresh! They met via Instagram in January when Bert was still in Thailand. In February he had to go to hospital with a suspected stroke. “She really wanted to visit me there, which I wasn't really happy about at first, because you don't usually look that great there,” he says with a slight smile. But she persisted and visited him. The beginning of a wonderful love story.

“We talk on the phone for several hours every day and make video calls. Of course, we also see each other on the weekend.” They are currently in a long-distance relationship – he lives in Düsseldorf. They don't want to move in together at first. “We didn’t plan that at first,” he clarifies. At the same time, it is important to him to emphasize that his new love is not just a “crush”. “In the best case scenario, she should be the last woman in my life and it’s the same with her.” It is now all the more important that their love continues to develop.

Wollersheim justified his marriage to Ginger in 2025 with the age difference. In recent years he has had a stroke and fears of suffocation, even fighting for his life. Despite his health problems, he often traveled with Ginger. He doesn't want to do that anymore, he wants to take it easy. “I consciously no longer wanted a younger partner. I also no longer wanted to pretend that I was also excited about all the interests of very young people. It is important to me that people love me for who I am. I also know that with my age, I’m no longer a major prize.” With Angel (54) he now has a younger partner at his side, but Ginger was also significantly younger at 39 years old.
