More than 200 line dancers from Hesse, Thuringia and Bavaria transformed Fulda's Bahnhofstrasse into a large dance floor on Saturday afternoon (May 2nd).

Fulda – The international line dance flash mob takes place every year around the world – always on the same day, at the same time and with the same dance steps. The Fulda organizers were so excited about last year's great successthat the decision was quickly made to hold the event again this year.

In bright sunshine, more than 200 women and men dressed in cowboy hats and boots came to take part in this year's line dancing flash mob. The organizers Thomas Nitzl and Alexandra Felten from the group Wild Bill Linedancer from Großenlüder-Bimbach had a surprise in their luggage – sorry, in the truck. The musician and country singer Tom Rascal came to Fuldaer Bahnhofstrasse especially to get people in the mood for the event with his songs.

The participants are all enthusiastic, including Marlies Flade from Hofbieber. She has been part of the Wild Bill troupe for five years and has also been dancing in the line dance group of the Tanzsportclub (TSC) Fulda for around three years. She emphasizes with a laugh: “It's nice to hear the music in the group and move to it. It's nice that age doesn't matter at all. We have active dancers from their mid-20s to around 80 years old.”

Erika Nelles from Fulda is also an enthusiastic line dancer – and even a trainer at TSC. She has been dancing for 14 years now, when she has time, with the Wild Bills, with the Fuldaer Buffalos and of course as a trainer. For her, one thing is certain: “It simply keeps body and mind fit.”

The organizers Thomas Nitzl and Alexandra Felten are completely satisfied at the end of the dances. They report in unison: “We are very satisfied. The dancers laughed like crazy, they had fun and so did the audience – so we achieved everything we wanted.”

The dance performances and musical performances in Fulda's Bahnhofstrasse marked the starting signal for a long country party “N4 – Nelles Catering”, which has been around since autumn 2025given. There we danced, chatted and, above all, celebrated.
