Fan influence in the partner switch in Show 8It will be exchanged! Now YOU can decide on the new “Let’s Dance” couples
Who should dance with whom?
Yes, we actually already clarified this question in the get-to-know-you show when our “Let's Dance” couples were formed. But now things are getting mixed up: In Show 8 it's time for the partner switch! The celebrities have to say goodbye to their professional for a week and get a new dance partner. And watch out, dear “Let’s Dance” fans: YOU have the new pairings in your hands. In the video, the “Let's Dance” jury reveals how and where you can vote.
What exactly is the “Partner Switch” on “Let’s Dance”?
For seven weeks, our celebrities and professionals grew together to form strong teams. They spend several hours together every day, get physically close while dancing and also open up to each other emotionally. They know their strengths, their weaknesses and their quirks and have coordinated perfectly with each other over the past few weeks.

So it's no wonder that the word “Partner Switch” causes a brief shock among celebrities. You have to get used to a new professional dance partner within a week and then perform with him in the eighth show. As nerve-wracking as this may seem on the one hand, it is also incredibly valuable. For the “Let’s Dance” candidates, the exchange is also an opportunity to learn things differently and thus get even more out of themselves.
Who should dance with whom? You can vote here!
The “Partner Switch” is almost a bit of a tradition at “Let’s Dance,” but this is an absolute novelty: This year, the fans will decide on the pairings, namely on the show’s official social media channels. From now on you can simply submit your suggestions by commenting on YouTube, TikTok, Facebook and Instagram. Here are the individual postings:
The incoming suggestions are collected across channels and evaluated using AI to determine the final pairings from the large number of votes. They will compete in Show 8 next Friday and, in addition to their regular performances, will dance another dance in the constellation determined by the community in a well-known pairing. Voting runs until Sunday, April 26th at 8 a.m., because training for the new dance couples begins shortly afterwards!
