The city of Fulda is giving away 80 fruit trees for the Hesse anniversary. Whoever answers questions about the climate correctly can win. Participation is possible until April 26th.
Fulda – As part of the “80 years HesseFulda would like to do so in the year of Hesse day set an example for sustainability and the future. In collaboration with the Fulda Environmental Center, the city is giving away a total of 80 fruit trees. The baroque city now announced this information in a press release.

Citizens who are interested have the opportunity to test their knowledge about the climate and environment in a climate quiz. This way you can secure the chance of a fruit tree. The climate quiz, which includes a total of ten questions, is online at the address hessentag-fulda.de/klimaquiz to find.
If a participant answers at least eight questions correctly, contact details (name, email address) can be provided. You then automatically take part in the raffle for the fruit trees. The deadline for participation is April 26th. The winners of the fruit trees will be drawn at the end of April.
Participants who have qualified for the raffle will first receive a confirmation email. If you win, you will be notified with further information about collection. According to the city of Fulda, the 80 fruit trees will be assigned randomly.

The trees – apple trees, pear trees, plum trees and cherry trees – will be handed out to the winners on a set date in the Fulda Environmental Center, where a new mini golf course is currently being built. The city of Fulda announced that shipping or temporary storage of the fruit trees is not possible.
Meanwhile, 80 years of Hesse will also be celebrated in June 2026 with a special musical in Fulda: “The Almighty Handkäs” will provide entertainment in front of the cathedral. Bath salt comedian Henni Nachtsheim is there. Between a vision of the future, time travel and Hessian humor, a portrait is created of a country that doesn't seem to take itself too seriously.
